Ella McGran
About

Ella McGran (she/her) is a freelance theatre-maker, facilitator and producer based across London and Hertfordshire. After years of success as a competitive dancer, Ella went on to train at Rose Bruford College where she shifted her focus to complete the 'Acting Foundation' course. Recognising her love for all aspects of theatre and its potential to instigate change in the world, Ella later graduated with a first class degree in 'Theatre and Social Change' from Rose Bruford College.

Since graduating, Ella has centered her focus on facilitation, working predominantly in schools and educational settings for young people. Ella currently works as a freelance facilitator and access assistant with organisations such as Go Live Theatre, Tangled Feet, and Half Moon Theatre.

Alongside her work as a facilitator, Ella has spent the last year developing her solo show. Having spent her teenage and early adult years battling with disordered eating and mental illness, Ella's creative work is often centred around these topics in an effort to raise awareness, break the stigma and instil confidence in young people. Her current project, Operation Shrink is an autobiographical solo show that explores her experiences living with Atypical Anorexia. Ella is a young practitioner with the Harlow Playhouse and is working in association with them to share her story with young audiences across the country.
